My nine year old daughter has a pair of Nike shoes bought for cross-country running.

She is about to turn ten and start summer athletics at Newtown Park (Wellington), and the 10+ kids are recommended to wear track spikes.

What length/shape should she ask for? Is there only one specific spike allowed on Newtown Park or is there a general range within which we should choose something.

This is a very good question, as spikes can be hard to purchase if you aren't sure about them.

The spikes that are allowed to be worn at Newtown Park (Wellington) are 6mm Christmas Tree spikes.

The spikes can fit into any of the different spike shoe models, so the best thing to do is come into store and we'll fit your daughter into the most suitable spike shoe model and from there get her sorted with Christmas Tree spikes in 6mm length.
