I do a lot of running and indoor gym work. When I run for greater than 20 minutes I get blisters on the arch of my feet (predominately on the right). To date, a hard callus has built up on the right foot. I am not flat footed although do tend to pronate inwards. My current shoes are four months old (NB runners). How do I stop the blistering?

Generally speaking, blisters on the arch of the foot are caused by your foot and the arch support of the shoe not quite matching up i.e. the arch support of the shoe pushing up into your arch when impact takes place whilst running. It takes time for it to cause soreness, hence the 20 minutes for your particular foot. Come in and see us at Shoe Clinic (with your shoes) and we will take a look at your shoes and your foot and see if we can offer any more advice for you.
