What should I do if I'm getting pain from running?
We don't mean if youve just been for your first run in 10 years and your lungs feel like they're about to collapse!
If you have consistent trouble with things like knee pain, shin pain or pain in your feet then these may not only be due to severe lack of fitness. The first thing to look at is your running shoes, how old are they?
If you've had them for 20 years and they are starting to be re-released as a retro fashion shoe it might be time for a new pair.
Quite often you may experience small "niggles" towards the end of the life of your shoes and this is a warning sign they are about due for replacement. If you start getting pains in your feet, knees and/or shins right from when you get fitted in correct new shoes this would generally indicate there may be more than just the new shoes that is required i.e. a visit to your local podiatrist.
Shoe Clinics in all areas work closely with local podiatrists and can refer you to one if you require. Also, Shoe Clinic offers a free podiatrist in store consultation that simply requires a phone call to your nearest store to make an appointment.
