Shoe Clinic Technical Training Programme

Just as you take your sport seriously...
Shoe Clinic take the correct fitting of your most important training partner very seriously indeed.

As a result of our commitment to provide you with the best possible expertise in technical footwear knowledge, footwear fitting, and foot function all of our Footwear Technicians undergo an ongoing Technical Training Programme.

The Shoe Clinic Technical Training Programme is individualised and stepped with each module building on the former.

Over time each Shoe Clinic Footwear Technician completes six modules of learning covering topics such as; foot anatomy, biomechanics, gait analysis, fitting sports shoes, footwear product knowledge, and biomechanical and medical conditions.

Knowledge areas are assessed and examined with a high pass mark expected from all Shoe Clinic Footwear Technicians. These assessments/exams are recorded to enable the tracking of all individual learning to ensure consistency throughout all Shoe Clinic Stores.

Shoe Clinic Technical Training Manager Lisa Whiteman
We believed that to deliver an effective Technical Training Programme specific to the requirements of Shoe Clinic (and you, our customer), we would require an expert for course design, implementation and facilitation.

This role has been filled by Lisa Whiteman, a Wellington Podiatrist with many years clinical experience as well as a long history of lecturing and training, particularly in the area of biomechanics, gait analysis and related pathology.

Lisa visits all stores and works with individual staff on a regular basis delivering both academic and practical Technical Training.
